She needs… oh, I dunno…. maybe some prefaded skinny jeans and a dark green tank top, to complete her fashionably casual phone appearance.Maybe a thrift shop will cooperate.
Of course, it probably should be a smartphone, anyway…but I don’t want her to be longing for yet another thing they can’t afford…. or embarrassing herself by wrapping a Hershey bar in shiny black paper and telling everyone it’s her new iPhone23.
My cell phone is so old it has a rotary dial. And say what you will about smart phones, there’s nothing like the satisfaction of slamming down the receiver on an old land line. Take THAT!
Frugal….Perfect.Very chic. And I much prefer Android to i, when it comes to phones. I just figured “iPhone23” might be something Agnes would say…. I think they only go up to 5, so far. Dani…. aaah… but you confuse a smartphone, to make Agnes look and feel cool, with something to TALK on.I hardly talk on mine…but it’s a mini computer, internet browser, camera, picture frame, multi-function watch, weather forecaster, and all sorts of other stuff rolled up into one very small and portable device. The world in my pocket! Talking …. especially at length … is mostly for my landline. And BTW…. yeah, my sister paid something like $1.50 a month to “rent” her phone for about 25 years…someone in billing finally noticed, and asked her if she still had it.
When she said yes, the woman said it belonged to her now, and took off the fee…and she still uses it, maybe 10 years after that.

I guess having a phone with a remote handset is Granny’s concession to modernity.
