I was never as flip as Agnes at her age; I went to school with nuns and there was NO such thing as “flip”. I was, however, frequently homework challenged because I just never really got into other people arranging my time and activities for me. Like…school. And….homework. And yes, it was a problem as a working, trying-to-be-responsible adult. I was very fortunate in finding bosses who understood that 8 a.m. was pretty arbitrary as a start time. I made sure, however, that they got full work and never shorted them, either during the day or at the end.
