Speaking of calendars (thanks, @seanfear), I just found that 2023 and 2017 both began on a Sunday. And since neither year is a leap year, that means the calendars are identical. That is probably why the “Agnes” reruns are from 2017: GoComics can issue reruns day-by-day and the Sunday strips will always be on a Sunday without human intervention.

Knowing Agnes, tomorrow will disappoint her, too.

Last week sounds more promising.
