Cool people plug a phone into the car docking station and listen to the playlists they’ve saved on the phone. They also use the phone to navigate and make hands-free phone calls with noise suppression.
Well, my husband and I are definitely NOT cool, but the only AM radio station we listen to is the sports one with the live game broadcasts. Other than that, there are some local FM radio stations we listen to. When we travel, we try to do the iPod/phone thing with our music, but that depends on what car we’re taking/renting.

You could always get satellite radio, although you have to pay for that. Or get a better antenna to pull in distant stations.
