Well, I remember it. (Canadian here). Yes you have to eat the red ones last. Everyone knows that Dan!! Sesame Street was a staple at our house. “Strawberry Jam, my favourite kind!” (Yes, favourite is spelled with a “u” lol.)
Dang, Amanda. Don’t buy your Smarties at World Market; everything costs more there. And certainly don’t buy them at Mast General. It’s as scandal what they charge for candy. Buy them at Dollar General. They have lots of old-fashioned penny candy there for much less.
I take it we’re talking about the chocolate Smarties here and not those fruity ones that come in tiny little rolls? I’v tried those chocolate ones. I don’t care for them. The chocolate somehow doesn’t taste right.
I was a teenager when Sesame Street started but here in the NYC area we learned to count in Spanish. Also the song, Sing, made famous by the Carpenters was originally sung with alternate English and Spanish lyrics.
I remember getting CBC Lethbridge on the cable in Billings. That was so long ago that the CBC feed came in black and white, one station in Billings (KTVQ) shared CBS and NBC, and at midnight, they switched the feed to KPIX from San Francisco.

Didn’t know what they were. Had to look them up. I didn’t really watch that show when I was younger. I like the old ones better.
