Is the big blob in panel one a mistake? Or is it my imagination? Or is it meant to show young Amanda’s drawing prowess?

I’ve been reading your comics from the start (finally took the time) and I am sure you answered this somewhere, but I’m not taking the time to look at all the comments (I am reading some). What is the reason your mom calls you Lucy? Is Amanda your middle name?

Many children go through a creative drawing phase. It must be encouraged to persist into skillful drawing. My mother quashed my youngest brother’s artistic impulses when he was doing parodies of the “Pogo” comic strip. She made him stop, claiming it was plagiarism. Mom had a lot of weird ideas.

Well guys, I fixed the smudge and re-uploaded today’s and tomorrow’s (because I found an error on that one as well). If it DOESN’T get fixed, there is a part of a word missing in tomorrow’s comic, so steady yourselves. ;)

Wasn’t there a mermaid/superhero cartoon in the ’80s? Amanda, maybe someone ripped off your younger self!

Honestly, there were so many barely distinguishable cartoons back then, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was actually a real thing. A mash-up of a few other cartoons, all with nearly identical plots – that’s when I gave up on modern cartoons.

Thank you for giving us something that isn’t more of the same, Amanda.
