Nothing like volunteering your husband. Dan how can you not volunteer. Don’t you want to have a positive influence on the children so that when they grow up they will be moral, honest, upstanding citizens?

The drip method of coercing ‘volunteers’ or as I saw yesterday in a column of work advice….never volunteer, wait to be ‘volun-told’. (I knew I’d use that when I saw it, so apt.)

But middle schoolers go the farthest, fastest, and strongest——their way——or your way, if you teach well. They can be some trouble—or not, just as with our pesky word “peruse”:

You’re a brave lady Amanda! Of course Dan is a peach, so he probably went along with it after voicing multiple reasons why he though otherwise.

I have always believed that middle school teacher, religious or not, are candidates for immediate canonization!
