That’s a call back to my youth. Sour Cream pie, at the time, the only way to make sour cream edible. The other gateway dessert was Tomato Soup cake.

Good ol’ gentle ol’ sarcasm!

Not being a cooking foodie, I’m sure I wouldn’t know the difference. Think my sugar says “Great Value” or some national brand. Local sourcing is sort of lost on us culinary Philistines.

And on the other hand, midwestern sarcasm and self-insight together is rare indeed, a commodity I can appreciate.

In ‘the valley’, even joking about using cane sugar makes you persona non grata. While it will vary from one coffee klatch to another, best to mind what seed cap you sport as well. But then, you probably have a selection to suit the occasion hanging on the back of a door.

I just watched the video on YouTube. Yeah, way too many raisins in that. I really don’t like raisins except for our plum pudding at Christmas.

Home town cafe’s are the best. We seek them out when on the road.

Mean me is funnier than nice me as well. At least, I think so.
