Be glad you don’t have washboarding, your lipstick would look like a seismograph during an earthquake.

There is an interesting bit of physics in road surfaces, where they will tend to have the same holes and washboard surfaces over time, even if the surface is made smooth. And a washboard effect can originate with a single low or high spot, with the subsequent application of force from that deflection of mass creating a ripple effect over time, spaced out by the predominant vehicular speed used to apply force.

Was that an Ed McMahon reference in the last panel? I distinctly heard his voice in my head.
