When I was a kid of 16 I had a job setting up mics and speakers for the church for special events. Those hen dos were rife with more bickering and passive aggressive remarks then I’d ever seen in a sober group of people. I mentioned that to the pastor one Saturday while getting things ready and he said, with a grin, “There are little nuggets of information if you can stand to listen for a while. I try to remember the juicy stuff.” My respect for him soared.
