Once again Flo only sees the negative side of things. Perhaps Andy remembers the details because Flo was with him and those were happier times. Since then Flo has sunk deeper and deeper into her well of anger and self pity. Despite this, Andy has faithfully stood by her unable to share his true feelings out of fear that it will trigger one of Flo’s tirades driving them even further apart.
This just puzzles Flo how Andy who was probably drunk at the time can remember a bar with pool tables and yet sober can’t remember her birthday. Flo ought to know only time she is important to Andy is when Flo gets paid and he goes to the bar.
Andy’s appreciation of a good selection of finely brewed beers, and an establishment that provides more than one pool table for the patrons is understandable.
Unfortunately, like many of us, he is not very good with dates anymore. Quite possibly the physical assaults over the years by Flo have done their damage.
