Nothing like a continental distance or two to produce marital harmony.

Eric must have passed on since then, he’s always with Chalkie now! (Is Chalkie a real name in the UK?)

@EldoSay, just where or what is “the passage”? Just a hallway, or something else.I liked the older Capp. More British expressions. Helps my vocab. I only speak Hee Haw…

Lucky, indeed, but Eric had better not let it interfere with the matches…

Because Andy takes his darts very seriously, even when it’s just a friendly…<p.

Andy would be over the moon if his Mother in Law lived in a different continent. He would celebrate with the ‘lads’

But here’s the thing, Andy. Divorce Flo and you’ll no longer have that old bag for a Mother in Law.

    LOL xxx

    @Gweedo Murray

I don’t mind you being wordy at all. I’m not going to copy and paste your reply though. I might cause a ‘traffic jam’ in the comment section.

I loved your story about when you were in Grade 1-6 and having that music teacher. He sounds great to me. I bet he made your music lessons fun.

I like all musical instruments from brass to strings and woodwind.

P.S. I really hope you can find the perfect camera for your project. Was the camera which you are returning expensive? I hope not. 16GB is really a good memory space.

I better stop my ‘essay’ now.

Thank you for telling that story… I loved it.

    Hope you’re doing great!

@EldoSorry, that WAS vague, eh? In the strip you posted, Chalkie said “Eric took ill in the passage”. Is a passage a bus or train?

“Passage” would make sense for a stadium Game, not indoors. Perhaps it’s a euphemism? Maybe it’s the British way of speaking English?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I think that in this context, he is referring to the hallway leading to the loo ( restrooms ).Giving the age of the strip, it might refer to the alley behind the pub where there was a latrine. Indoor plumbing was late coming to many old pubs.

I’ve had two mothers-in-law, and they are both very nice to me. Even the one whose daughter divorced me.

Sorry…. I remember you mentioning that you were taking snaps at a roadside for this project you were doing and then you would upload them. I thought it was the same camera used for taking the shots which you are returning.

Do you order from Amazon a lot? My cousin orders from Play.com not sure if you’ve heard of it.

The performance sounds excellent. I’m sure everybody else enjoyed it too.

Sorry again for the mix up…

I wonder if we could all band together to get Pogo on GoComics…..(you notice they never had mother-in-law problems THERE!) And for whoever mentioned the lack of attacks on fathers-in-law, may I refer you to Archie Bunker?

I dearly loved my m-i-l, but my f-i-l was such a piece of work that I never understood why my m-i-l stayed with him…a real jerk…Ron told me he learned how to treat women by watching him and doing the opposite…and my Ron was a good man and treated me like I was his angel….as he was mine…

I have no clue about Your FIL premise, but it seems valid. Anyone agree/disagree?>>I believe that when a married man has been around long enough to be father-in-law, he is usually trained to be quiet until he is called upon. That said, domestic abuse usually call fil out of the background to the forefront with much quickness. Providing that he is father of the bride.
