Awhile back, we met Andy’s Great Uncle Drunkeye, who curiously bore a slight resemblance to another, more famous sailor… So I was thinking, what would happen if Andy were to meet that famous sailor…. (ps. Misstreaks is Sailor speak for "mistreats)

Okay everyone I cannot get the picture on comment.Happy New Years to all.For those like me trying to celebrate a birthday on New Years Eve try to enjoy.
You’re welcome. I remember seeing those very old Popeye reruns on tv as a kid and once later in California. These were the ones where he said “Ahoy, Bluto !” Later the character became Brutus ^^At the risk of turning this forum into a Popeye room; it might interest you to know the reason that Bluto was renamed Brutus:When the Paramount contract ended in the late 50s, King features decided to produce their OWN Popeye cartoons; however, due to very poor research, they assumed that Bluto was created by Fleischer/Paramount Studios, and owned the rights to the character, not realising that Segar had created “Capting Bluto” in 1932 for the Chinese parrot adventure, thus KFS owned the character outright. For that reason, they changed the character slightly and renamed his Brutus, but, in retrospect, they needn’t have done so.
That is way funnier than the actual strip. I mean, the real strip is funny, but your version is absolutely Hilarious!!!!!!!! XD^^TY…. I think the middle panel, with it’s romantic implications, sets up the punch line perfectly :)
Yeah, as much as I love Quebec and it’s people, they ARE terrible drivers (One of them tried to pass me on an ONRAMP once!!!)As for Crystal Beach, I remember it well, when I was little, we always went once a year, just before Labour Day… now there’s a bunch of ugly townhouses on the property.
Speaking of the Beach, you buy yourself a copy of the book: Crystal Beach: The Good Old Daysby local author Erno Rossi
