@Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny, aside from the extra panels how was our Hero Mr Andrew Capp hit in his honker and not his eye , when he peeked thru the letter box ?:o) my avatar is of a man shooting a gun at his alarm/radio clock, which is what makes me feel like doing when mine wakes me up just as I have managed to sleep :o) how was your day ? ours should be busy but calm I hope as our Sundays usually are , have fun and thanks for caring pal.
I quite like today’s strip. Andy gets hurt through someone trying to do the right thing and return his pool cue!
I enjoyed the discussion about old comics such as “Buster” which Thursday’s strip started by using a horse called “Buster’s Dad” as an in-joke. Number Six commented that his favourite comic characters were Frankie Stein and Cheeky. Frank McDiarmuid was the main artist for the “Hello, It’s Cheeky” strip in “Krazy” and the comic “Cheeky Weekly” which featured Cheeky on all seven days of the week. He also ghosted some of the “Frankie Stein” strips for Christmas annuals and holiday specials since Frankie was appearing in “Shiver and Shake”, “Whoopee!” and “Monster Fun” annuals and holiday specials at that time as well as having his own holiday special from 1975 to 1981 so other IPC artists such as Frank McDiarmuid and Brian Walker helped out Frankie’s main artist Robert Nixon.
Reminds me of the old joke where the guy walking along a fence, heard a lot of people yelling “561” on the other side of the fence. He peeked through a knothole to see what was going on. About that time, they jabbed a stick into his eye, and started yelling “562”..lol..
Many older houses in our general area have them (we call them letter slots). But few newer ones. In the area where I live, almost all mail is delivered into what we would call “rural-type” mailboxes. There are no walking postmen.

@Afficionado
I don’t want to shoot my alarm clock because it’s actually my phone that wakes me up. That’s my alarm clock.
I love sleeping. However I go to bed really late and wake up quite late as well (If I don’t need to go anywhere)
Have a wonderful week ahead, pal.
