@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, a horse named Free Spiritis doing whatever it wants and losing our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s money "borrowed from Flo is worthy of the master :o) my avatar is a statement asking Google not to act like a girl friend and automatically typing what it thinks I want to say, I hate it when it does that because it uses American English , while I being an Anglophile like using Brit English spelling, how was your day? our Manic Monday should be busy as it usually is but we should cope I hope, we have no shopping to do or errands to run and we are both in a good mood, the CCTV cams are working fine and caught our Idiot neighbour obstructing my home garage and flashed him a warning :o) now we can chill till the greengrocer van comes , keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
I met up with a friend today and the weather was lovely. Had a great time. It’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK.
As I’m British, it’s only natural I use British-English. However when I’m on Facebook, I get a notification that the page couldn’t load in UK English so it switches to US English instead. Annoying.
It sounds like you do have the neighbours from hell. You have my sympathies.
Last year people won more than one billion dollars playing the horses. And the gambling industry made twenty-seven billion just by being around those people
I well remember first encountering Andy Capp back around 1959 in the early days of Reg Smythe. That was in the old Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper.Somewhere a bit later I read that is name had nothing to do with with the cap on his head.He was the long suffering Flo’s true… ’ÁNDICAPThanks – I have had over 60 years of smiles from Andy, poor Flo and all the cohorts.

Don’t think that Andy would ever bet on a horse named “The Best”. Too obvious.

There most certainly is something about the name “spirit” that would attract Andy.

Homer Simpson carries a card in his wallet that reminds him “Do opposite of what the boy says.” Andy should bet on any horse he doesn’t like.

Andy was going to bet a “daily double” of Strawberry Rash and Poison Ivy, but they were both scratched…

Andy recently had success with a horse called Becoming An Atheist. He should stick with Atheists and avoid Spirits.

Why does Andy always choose the horse with the coolest-sounding name which turns out to be the unluckiest runner?

A bright and colourful strip today. Just like the weather here in the UK.
And I’m very much a free spirit too. Love to do my own thing.
