In my humble opinion, Andy should have requested an alternative number by Queen. Guitar Bob says, âOh yes? Which one?â Andy lays him out and says, âAnother one bites the dust!â
In the first part of the twofer, Bob should change the words to âpeople keep puttinâ me downâ and make it his theme song. And Andy was just trying to hurry him up to buy the next round.
In the second part, I see why Jack keeps guitar Bob around, it helps to clear out the riff raff. Unfortunately it does they same for the paying customers.

Serious question time: do any Cappers actually like Guitar Bob episodes? (Or quiz night episodes, for that matter.)

The only beat the beer thief is interested in is to beat a hasty retreat using Bob as an excuse.

Todayâs Andy Cappâs got no class. In the strips of old, Andy was vulpine. He didnât just pinch some critterâs beer.

In a mid 70âs strip, Andy is raising a glass to 30 years of wedded âblissââŠ
âEreâs to the next thirty years, sweetâeart!â
Flo replies, âWhatâre you on about?â
Andy replies, âl thought youâd remember this place. This is where we decided to get married.â
Flo remarks that the place has certainly changed and Andy replies, " You avenât darlinâ."
In the final panel Flo replies, âI âave yâknow â l donât get as sloshed as l did then!â

Andy gets what he came for. Beer and ale. Then, he is out like a birthday candle.

I take it by his âinfamousâ remark that Guitar Bob is aware of how hated his singing is.
