For Christmas, I want my friends and family to be safe. And for Omnicron to be the more contagious but far less deadly variant we have been hoping for. A friend told me recently that the Spanish Flu pandemic ended when the flu became more contagious but far less deadly. I also hope that the current rise in cases (although deaths remain low) will start falling again in the first quarter (January through March) of 2022. We can’t bring back the 800,000 Americans we lost to this, but we can honor them by not giving in to despair and doing what we need to do (i.e. getting vaxxed and/or boosted and taking additional steps to protect ourselves.
