Good Morning, Anniephans! Very nasty indeed, NightGaunt. It was a test facility where the Japanese were experimenting with the effects of certain germs and chemicals on human systems, using human prisoners as Guiney pigs. One of the early attempts at developing bio-chemical mass destruction devises.
