I say “refiling” instead of “erasing” because the human mind never really forgets anything; we just think we do. Suppressed memories can be brought back from the subconscious by various means – which, if the chief of police hot on the trail of our aspiring crusader was smart, he’d utilize as soon as the docs give the OK.Captain Snafu needs to look into the various methods we teach at the FCCS for completely (and safely) erasing selected memories that have the potential to compromise a secret identity, leaving only a harmless “blank spot” in the prefrontal cortex of the brain. Various pharmaceuticals can be effectively employed for this purpose, as can retro-fitted alien technology (refer to MIB Agency, class of ‘90) or psionic powers. K. El/C. Kent (Class of ’33, Dean Emeritus) has another method of erasing memories (Refer to “Superman II,” dir. Richard Lester, 1980), but it’s not to be used on minors…
