The ship ten miles behind him is the Navy missile ship CG-75 “Brandywine”. It was originally Ticonderoga ●CG-47 ● Ingalls Shipbuilding ● 25 April 1981 – 22 January 1983 – 30 September 2004 ● Stricken, to be disposed of by scrapping .1
That was changed and the ship was refurbished with new materials that saved the ship from scrapping.
Navy has 22 Ticonderoga-class cruisers (CG-52 through CG-73)
