We made three trips to New Orleans after Katrina hit. Demolition, cleanup, restoration were our objective. The devastation was unbelievable. Even a couple of years after, folks were still clinging on to belongings that survived, becoming hoarders of damaged and worthless junk still in plastic trash bags and strewn about. It it was theirs! Who could blame them? Some of the best of humanity appears after these events. It is too bad that it takes events such as this to unite us.
