Laziness sparks creativity

There comes a time in a person’s life, when he/she just doesn’t care that much any more what people think about you. Might as well give them something to cluck about. A couple years ago I painted my house. I bought the wrong color red for the trim. Festival red as apposed to dull red. I figured what the hell, at least the neighbors will know I’m keeping the house up……It really is really a bright red trim….It looks good to me…Some people might look at it and go, what the…? Which I consider a good thing. Go Tigers!

It’s a good idea to carry water with you when you’re walking, especially on a hot day.

The way I read this strip, Arlo set out to meet Janis with cold water for her because he knew she would be thirsty late in her walk. He met her on the way home. Note that she’s sweating, he’s not. And to me she looks grateful. Incredulous but grateful.
