Once we lived in the future, dreaming what fates would allow.
Now that the future is shorter, the feeling is different somehow.
More life's in the past, the longer we last.
Accept today as the present of now.
See if you can find the movie “Just Imagine”….a sci-fi flick about a man who goes to sleep and wakes up 50 years later….what makes it interesting is it was filmed in 1930. Very interesting what they imagined 1980 would be like.
I’m retired. Sometimes people ask me what I do with all the time on my hands….Not get heavy, but that’s just not how I see it. I have time IN my hands….what a blessing time is….
By the way, my son was in the hospital paralized by West Nile Virus last year. For a couple of months, the only reason he was living was that assorted machines breathed for him, fed him, monitored him. Even so, he kept some human nurses busy doing what the machinery instructed. (He’s finally able to raise his left arm above his shoulders but still needs a plastic brace on his right leg to reduce stumbling.)
