Now you know why God made detergent and degreaser spray. A little cooking grease is nothing compared to automotive grease. Note to females: It is a guy thing you would not understand. (Yes, I do do my own laundry.)
When my son-in-law fries something, he leaves the whole stove, including the back; other pots; and anything else plausibly within grease-shot, awash in grease, and never wipes anything up. He does his own wash, so I don’t care what he gets on his shirt.
Gokie5: For some reason I do the same thing when I fry things. It’s possibly because I hate cooking and frying even worse. I hate grease burns so I tend to stay as far away from the pan as possible while only flipping when absolutely necessary. lol
This is why my hubby is the cook for the family. If up to me, we’d do take out every night. :)
A T-bone can be pretty tasty, simmered in olive oil, or better yet lots of butter..(I can do that because I don’t eat cheese. It also let’s me drink Whole milk…(4%)….Yummmmmmm…..And beef hash is also really good in a pan…eggs, onion, French toast, Taters, and …Mmmmmmmmmm bacon……..
Similar topic – why do we put the napkin on our laps when our parents encouraged us to sit close to the table? As a (ahem) endowed(/ahem) woman, most everything ended up on my shirtfront or in my décolletage (OUCH!). I was taught that wearing a napkin as a bib was gauche, but it has certainly saved me from pre-treating a lot of laundry stains.

I do the laundry and most of the cooking in the house. There is an art to frying without splatter, it can be done.

If Janis noticed Arlo getting grease on his shirt, then why didn’t she notice he didn’t put the apron on up high enough? (not a Janis fan)
