Arlo says, "You're Robin!" Robin says, "And you're Arlo!" Janis says, "She brought cookies!" Arlo says, "You're the newcomer! We should bring you cookies!" Janis says, "That's what I said!" Janis says, "She said she was tired of waiting!" Arlo says, "You bring the teacups, too?" Janis says, "That's our good China, and you know it!"
For some reason, this little vignette from “That Girl” has always stayed with me. Ann asks Don to help her set the table, and tells him to be sure to use the good china. He says, “The good china? How do I know which…” Ann jumps in, “The plates without the chips are the good china. Uh huh… that’s how you tell.” Something about her delivery was just so adorable, I’ve never forgotten it. Especially when I’m doing the same thing.
