Mary Lou: Well, the fall turnips are planted! This is where we began last year! We've come full circle! Mary Lou: It's been hard work, but no harder than the restaurant business! Gene: The sun took some getting used to! Mary Lou: We managed to bring in some good produce, in spite of our inexperience. Gene: We didn't make much money. Mary Lou: We didn't make ANY money!
You don’t have to eat the turnips – the greens are good when salted properly. Mustard greens are better.
