Janis: I can't believe Mr. Bain next door offered to poison my wildflowers! Arlo: What did you expect? Arlo: He's an old dinosaur who raises hothouse roses! Janis: Maybe. Janis: But I remember the first person who called them 'weeds'!
Hothouses are for plants too delicate or fussy to grow outdoors. Roses grow everywhere from the desert to the arctic circle. You can grow roses in a hothouse, but why bother?
