Janis: A PRINCESS!? Are you serious!? Arlo: Well, it IS candid! That's why I like it! Janis: Well, you should ask me first! Arlo: Wake you up to ask if I can take a photo of you sleeping. Janis: If you really want to take my picture, give me time to make myself presentable! Arlo: We have dozens of photos like that. Arlo: You don't like them, either.
I read somewhere that a possible reason we don’t like how we look in photos is because our usual way of viewing ourselves is in the mirror, which is a reverse image. A photo is not, so it doesn’t look “right” to us.
