If Janis and Arlo start to look alike, then Janis will worry that she’s not aging well.

I am in charge of locking up in the house or in the RV. I have a system at home I check the kitchen door lock, I then check that “6 off on the stove”, and lastly “nothing plugged in” (meaning toaster oven, etc. next to stove). This way we both know that everything is off. In the RV it is much easier – I just hit the lock button on the keyfob to make sure.

Husband and I started looking alike decades and decades ago. When we had been dating a two years his paternal grandfather died. His parents and sister were in France on vacation. So we went to the wake without them as they rushed home. I had never met his family beyond his maternal grandparents. At the wake everyone – meaning his extended family – assumed I was his sister as “This must be B, you look so much alike”. His family does not get together much. We park at a local park and walk through it to the Post office every day to check our PO box. We started waving to the woman in the recreation booth as we went past. One day she stopped us – “are you married or brother and sister?”

Maybe your “likeness” attracted you when you met. Subconsciously there was something familiar you both recognized. Very nice and sweet. :-)

I have also heard that people start to look like their pets. Well, Arlo, your future is looking feline.

I just hope he starts looking like Janis, not the other way. Hey, he LIKES the way she looks ~ he probably wouldn’t mind either.

Guess I’m an anomaly. I rarely lock my doors, day or night. Whatever.

He really doesn’t want her to start looking like him.

I lock the doors (most nights I remember), but I sometimes forget. We don’t worry though, if I forget, our 100 pound German shepherd defends the house.
