Speaking of baseball – Yesterday was “Truck Day” in Boston, which is a big deal around here (but not so much this year because of the panicdemic). Truck Day is when the truck gets loaded with gear and leaves from Fenway Park to go to Florida because spring training starts soon. People and local media actually show up for this annual ritual. It is the earliest indication that spring is not too far off – followed by pitchers & catcher report (Feb. 17th), full squad workouts (Feb. 22) and actual spring training games starting (Feb. 27). By this time of the year many of us up here are thoroughly sick of winter and latch on to any sign of spring. I swear people get hammered when they see the first crocuses (or is it croci?) pop up in their yard. :P

First is not a good place to put Clumsy…
“Who’s on first?”
“Clumsy.”
“Yes, I know that, but what’s the name of the guy on first?”
“What’s on second.”
“I’m not asking who’s on second…”
[And so on…] ☺
