Mildred’s already got her knives out, ready to chop that onion if need be.

He’s so… different. No wonder Mildred is worried for Lottie. But she don’t seem to be hypnotised or something like that.

Is that the back way into the neighborhood? Appears Lottie is admonishing Lem to not follow too close, or to not say/do something.

I’m making a note of that line. Next time someone gets a boyfriend I disapprove of….
