Gweedo Murray says: He looks baffled…. ‘tis a sad commentary of this day and age that, indeed, some are baffled by kindness

Margueritem, good to see you wearing what was to me,your original avatar. I have enjoyed every one you have worn as well.

To Gweedo: he probably wasn’t expecting to be an exotic-recipe guinea-pig. Of course, beggars can’t really choose.

Bless your heart Tia Carmen. She reminds me of my grandmother. She ran a little neighborhood store. More than once I saw deliverymen sitting at her kitchen table enjoying a plate full of some tasty Mexican food.

Thank you, sir. I thought I’d go back to ‘Vermeer’s Bag Lady’ for a while, although I love that Prince Valiant illustration.

    doctortoon says:

Depending how long it’s been since he’s eaten, that may be too much food. Medieval lords sometimes fed great feasts to starving peasants for entertainment. Eating too much when you’re starving can make you very sick.

People freed from the concentration camps in Europe were given food by their well meaning rescuers, for they were obviously starving. Those that ate hungerly soon died, because of their bodies’ inability to handle the food. One of the exprisoners was a Dr. who advised the people around him to not eat the food, but take the packets of sugar and suck on them slowly. Those people were all right.

If the guinea pig is THAT big, it’s not a guinea pig. It’s a nutria!
