The English translation of the panel about Afghanistan youth is highly sanitized compared to the Spanish version. Why?

In the Spanish version the third panel says something like “Afghanistan has the highest rate of juvenile alcoholism in the world.”
Could it be we didn’t want anyone in Afghanistan to get mad at us?
