I’m wondering how the phone got from the classroom to the cafeteria. How ever it got there, it apparently was without Cruz’s permission.

I’m guessing Cruz’s phone, with Rayna, has been taken on a sight-seeing tour by friends – along the line of the gags where friends take a favourite stuffed toy or some such and find people to send it with to be photographed at the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, and so on.
