Transcript:
Friend: Today is magdalena's 80th birthday. Friend: She's as bull-headed, ornery and nasty as she's ever been! Tia Carmen: That woman's gonna be a handful when she's old.
Some old people are just tough. My wife’s then 93 year old aunt fell and broke a vertebra in her back last year. Everyone thought she probably wouldn’t make it, but she did. About a month ago she fell and broke her pelvis, and bless her heart, she’s recovering from this, too. A lot of pain, a lot of complaining, but it’s like Alan Rickman’s line in Galaxy Quest – Never give up. Never surrender.

I used to think 50 was old. Now, “old” is always ten years older than my current age.

ajr58: I went through that stage. Having cleared 82 yesterday, I am convinced age is an attitude, not a chronology.

I’ve gotten tolerant of older people in the checkout line knowing that’s “me” in a couple of years.
