Boy: You've worked here a while, haven't you, Baldo? Baldo: I guess so. Boy: Do you ever wonder? Baldo: About what? Boy: What kinda work we're supposed to be doing around here?
Worked as a busboy in a restaurant. One of the other busboy’s only job seemed to be to take smoke breaks. Now I’m a programmer and I find the same thing. One of the highly admired programmers, by the bosses, is like Wally in Dilbert. But he is a good politician. The kicker was, he told people something couldn’t be done. I did it!! I got called on the carpet for embarrassing HIM!! The fact that it saved the company money was beside the point!!! Such is life!
