Always nice to find something positive in a bad situation.

Time for a bath

I do not know of a kid that age who can resist mud puddles.

Some of the joys of childhood – sloshing through puddles, leaping into a pile if autumn leaves, jumping into a haystack, and making snow angels.

Go back out, stand in the rain until the mud is washed off. By then, two mops and a bucket will be provided to clean up the tracked-in mud. Then bath time.
