Father Sergio, sister Gracie, and grandaunt Carmen aren’t going to like Baldo puts a material possession over family nor will girlfriend Estella for the same reason.
I like this. Reminds me when I got a ten speed bike in college. Those wheels were the magic for visiting my future wife while working hard on my degree. Retired and biking for the love the feeling.
I’m with Baldo on this. It’s a sad commentary that America’s obsession with motor vehicles has turned the bike … and those of us who choose to ride them… into objects of ridicule. The irony is, most Americans own at least one bike but either never ride them or just ride them around the block every once in a blue moon. They don’t realize the joy they are missing by using their bikes for actually getting from point A to B not to mention for the resultant exercise.

A bike enlarges your world. So, a good beautiful thing.
