Jake is becoming another of my coworkers. A few weeks ago, I showed the strip with him giving 100% to his job (spread out over several days, of course) to some coworkers and they agreed he was one of the managers. Today he’s another coworker who hasn’t put in a full day once this week and even failed to put in he needed Wednesday off even though he knew he would. Said he talked about it “in front of everybody,” but apparently nobody heard him or could remember him saying anything
Oh, good lord. I can’t see a responsible worker like Baldo putting up with this garbage. Now the slackers can just go home whenever they feel like it and the good workers have to pick up their slack? Forget that. Baldo could get a job at any auto parts place in town.
If he doesn’t want to be there, he’s chasing customers and costing you customers. Pick up the hours, adjust your schedule and give him a single finger salute as he kisses off any unemployment.
Jake is a co-worker of Baldo’s who spends most of his workday actively trying to avoid doing any real work, usually by continually engaging in conversations with Mr. Rod or coming up with new excuses on why he can’t work.

I got fired for leaving my shift before it was over but I don’t care I was quitting. I was the only one who was actually working there
