One low miss, and Maxwell has a free lobotomy. In Ballard County, these may still be considered therapeutic. Indeed, they might be helping some of the citizens deal with all the crazy stuff that happens.As for me, I will stick with the suction cup movable dart club.

Hey, I stayed in the Basset Motel in its heyday. You used to get a Milk-Bone on your pillow every night.

Holy Cow! Maxwell! Do you all go around sporting one of those on your dome, or is today your (un)lucky day?

The scary shower scene in that film made all the dogs I know reluctant to take showers.

Most dogs still don’t want to. I’m sure that’s why.

I know there was a human version, but I’m not seeing a poster much like this….

I think Stel made it up.

There are pictures of the house, from the human version, where somebody tried to copy Stel’s just-too-scary-to be-adorable touch of showing Norman’s “Mother” in the window….

Speaking of Norman Basset…. Anthony Barkins was so good in that role.

I guess most people associated hm with it forever….

but I didn’t.

I only know that I considered him a rather nice-looking sort of a dog…

long and lean for a basset…. but if I ever said so, my friends would shiver, and give me strange looks.

Farside…. no troubles with… you know… the showers?

Meanwhile…. as for Maxwell….

I guess he enjoys … er.. darting about….

but I don’t get the point.

I’m sure he does…. probably several times a day.

I’m with Dennis…. suction cups will do!

And speaking of cups…

How many want coffee, and how many tea?

Kettle’s on, and so is the coffeepot….

And I just put 3 dozen assorted doughnuts from my bakery on the sideboard.

Some dogs might be just a little leery of going in there. It looks like someone is watching from that top back window.

He’s a dart magnet.

The last b/w Hitchcock film, and perhaps the last great Hitchcock film.

at first I was doubtful that this was the last great Hitchcock film…..then I looked at the filmography and to me, the only movies

after that that were fairly good were ‘The Birds’ (unsatisfactory ending)

‘Torn Curtain’ (great cast—dubious story quality)

so, I must say, Psycho WAS the last great Hitchcock film.

I will agree with you, Nighthawks! This was the last great Hitchcock mystery! This is one scary movie! By the master himself.

Now, talking about the master and mistress…………Stel, you are the best. It took a while for my computer to kick in the flashing lights. Nice touch. And, Mama staring out the window. But…….I took Dennis’ advice and enlarged your poster and saw the front window curtain move! How clever!

I liked Marnie & The Birds. Torn Curtain was okay, but I thought Hitchcock’s last film, Family Plot, was better. None of those films surpassed Psycho.

Torn Curtain did have some memorable scenes, like the bus scene, but the movie as a whole was a letdown.

Stel, there must have been an awful lot of work went into that flashing motel sign. I don’t know where I’d even start to produce something like that!
