I once wore a paper bag on my head while waiting for an 1.5 hours to get into a bar in 10 degree temperature in college. Of course we had just drank the 6-pack that was in the bag.
Love Cleo in this! I have a friend in New Orleans who keeps posting pictures of their Mardi Gras adventure on Facebook. Looks like so much fun! She caught some beads thrown by Harry Connick, Jr. and is very excited about those.

Cleo is being as joyous as a basset can be, I guess.

Cleo just exudes pathos as the sad clown. She is Pagliacci.

Yes… everybody…. c’est l’heure de… laissez les bons temps rouler!
And to post our comments on
the March 5th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY….”
A fine Mardi Gras poster from StelBel….which you can see on Sherpa
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Our little jester does indeed look rather sad.
Why so, Cleo?
It’s a day for merry-making!
Catch some beads, and doubloons, and Moon Pies!
That’s right… Moon pies! That should lift your spirits.
In the Dog Quarter, I’m told, you can catch your share of the pounds and pounds of kibble being tossed from doggie floats, as well.
Roger is apparently dressed for Mardi Gras as “Sister Roger Safeway”.
As for all my Cleo pals… we’ve just got to go to the Tiki, and do our commenting while enjoying the annual Mardi Gras bash….
Free red beans and rice…. free pancakes, and a slice of King cake….
Plus great specials on crab etouffee, jambalaya, and other Mardi Gras fare!
(Shhh…. I’m bringing some into our Cleo room where you guys can get a plate for free!)

MMM is back in the hospital with round 2 of pneumonia. If I’m late or absent, I have a note from the doctor.

Not sure if this is the time to post this, but that’s what it said under the comic today. I hope Cleo gets a lot of kibble today.
