Meanwhile…. we ladies in Ballard County have plenty of clubs….
and they’re not “weird”.
Well, OK, they’re mostly not weird.
Plus, lots of clubs are co-ed, and still others have ladies’ auxiliaries….
an idea that seems quaint, but you can tell by the combs in the pockets and the fedoras that the men here can be a bit old fashioned.

I myself am a member of the Rodent Club, the Ladies Ikebana and Auto Mechanics Club, the Hill Street Senior Center Origami and Pilates Club, and several others….
and none of them are weird.

I’m not so sure Peggy’s plane doesn’t soar, either.
I don’t know exactly which soaring club she’s in….
and I can’t see the top of her plane.
But XTI makes some like that with small engines and a propeller on top, capable of lift….
And I know my client Cornelia Harrelson is a member of a club that glides in tiny planes,
