I hate today’s cartoon. I’m in the midst of trying to get a leak stopped in my bathtub faucet and having the devil’s own time getting it done. I come here for escapism – not real-world reminders :-)………………………

I hope she doesn’t use that method to get him to clean the floor.

Claude, even Cleo could probably explain to you how to use that toilet brush.

    Welcome, everybody!/

Here we are…. you’ve reached the comment forum for

the March 23rd  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    ….which is juuuust a little….um…. ewwww-y.

The very thought of that brush cleaning the toilet and then being used…. agggh … yeccchh…. I can’t go there.

Especially right now, when all the talk everywhere is about sanitation of surfaces and staying away from germs

All I can say is, this proves, as if there were any doubt… that this cartoon is done by a guy.

Of course, there a far fewer women artoonists… and a few an be a bit off-the-wall… but I don’t think even Teresa Burritt would make this joke.

I’m sure Ms. StelBel, ladylike as she is, not only didn’t collaborate… (she never does, anyway, on the non animated M-W-F-Sa-Su strips)…

but kept a proper social distance from the premise.

That reminds me… I hate the term “social distancing.”

    We NEED social closeness…

like we have here on Cleo… and like you have with your friends and family and colleagues and whoever else gets you through the day…

in this time of what they should all “PHYSICAL distancing.”

I’m not going to socally distance myself from you guys!

As long as for now, you stay 6 feet away.

you’re right, Susan. Stel wanted nothing to do with this one…and last night I deliberated just deleting it…because Stel dismissed

this as ‘bathroom humor’………but in the end , even though it might burn, I ran it anyway—-it’s only one day.

After all, Garfield’s big gag today is that he is shifting his sleeping position and calling it ‘the times they are a changing’

In a way, this could be topical, because of folks hoarding TP and clearing the TP shelves.

Then Clara’s ‘bathroom tool’ might be a substitute to a TP shortage……
