I should, perhaps, point out that the English-language version of the poster for the human film did steal a few elements of what I’m thinking is Stel’s layout (sorry Nighthawks if not)..
The format of the credits is probably the most notable… although the concept of a central image of the title character surrounded by supporting players is also similar….
but they’ve added some rather ribald double-entendres.

I’ve seen a lot of ways dogs can ruin socks, but this one beats ‘em all!

I’d hate to see the patterns on his bad socks, if those are the good ones.

Well, Denny, if you had bought Scooter his own socks, he wouldn’t need to borrow yours, would he?

If movie posters were animated, we would see lines down the street! Tonight at the Bassetplex, Lee Marbone and Jane Hounda:

The human version was pretty darn funny this time:

I loved the scene with Lee Marbone and his horse staggering around drunk.

OK – this human version is a bit different and in another language, but…

Hi, everybody!
I’m back again…. just in time for another great poster….
This one credits Nighthawks, as well as StelBel….
so I guess they both contributed to
the June 16th 2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa.
And wow! It’s animated!
What a great job… and such a huge cast listing, too.
Gotta take a walk past the BassetPlex to see how it looks outside the theater….How do they make it move, inside those glass poster cases?
I looked for the poster too…. the closest I came was the same one Tigressy found… it’s in Italian.
Seems to be only the Italians who attempted to copy it….
I guess they’ll try anything over there.
It’s such a funny movie.
Who can forget that tin nose?
How did he sniff other dog’s bu…. I mean…. oh you know… how did he sniff…. stuff?
And look at the beautiful young Jane Hounda.
I remember being startled to see Dwayne Hickbasset…
I always associate him with his starring role in “Doberman Gillis” ….
and before that, in (possibly my Mom’s favorite TV comedy, when I was a puppy… I mean… a kid), “Love That Dog.”
Great work, you guys!

Now that I’ve got your attention: It’s all your fault.
I just ordered the humans’ DVD – along with “Viva Maria” and a few other classics.

Before I say goodnight….

Dogs can’t be bothered… they say what they mean.

It’s also strangely cartoon-y….
and speaking of that central character…
why do they call her a CAT, when she’s obviously human?
Is it merely an attempt to thumb their noses at the basset movie?
If the dogs know that expression, might it even serve to taunt the dogs with the fact that they don’t HAVE thumbs?
(Although Cleo Clifford certainly seems to use whatever serves as a thumb-like part of her paws to great advantage.)
Is this “cat” person standing in that odd position in an attempt to look like a cat?
Or more likely, a basset?
Looking back through her legs is weird…. but maybe she’s presenting … you know… let’s say “herself” …. to be sniffed, in basset fashion?
It’s so confusing!

Terrific picture. Lee Marbone makes one of the great entrances in movie history.

My favorite scene is always where Lee Marbone is being dressed for his big scene. I see Stel and Nighthawks showed him on the poster all gussied up.
I can always count on a great earworm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
