Excellent animation today from Nighthawks and Stel Bel. Color me bummed that the intermission was not long enough for snacks, though.

Oooh, I love these serial thrillers! This is even better than Flash Gordon meets Ming The Merciless. I can’t wait until the next episode!

Almost but not quite clickbait, cos it did advance the plot, a wee smidgen.

But it left even more questions dangling… and teased that all the resolution will arrive in one, final installment.

Wow… that’s gotta be a killer episode.

Hopefully, no pun intended…

Or if that meaning is intended, let’s hope all such villains are quickly dispatched…

all mysteries solved, all characters either redeemed or put well away,

But before I get too far ahead of the action….

What has Sam done, to be so summarily dismissed?

One moment, he thinks, this deceptive dame, she of the purplie-lidded peepers, and come-hither lips… wait a minute… LIPS? …

The long lashes, and silky ears… OK, that’s enough letting SAM think…

One minute she hired him… and the next minute, figuratively speaking, maybe tried to kill him.

And now… she greets him at gunpoint… without ever giving him a chance to help her!

What did she want from him, that she’s decided he will fail … or refuse… to provide?

Where IS that cursed statuette, anyway?

Does Miss Behave know?

Did she hire Sam to find it, purely as a ruse?

To what avail?

What’s an avail, anyway?

Why does she want to see him in a pink slip?

I didn’t think he swung that way.

All this and more in ONE final episode?

I thought comics wrapped up on Fridays.

But today is Friday….

I can’t wait a whole ’nother WEEK!

Once again I fell a week behind on C&C. This time to my advantage, as I got to go through 3 episodes of the Maltese Basset without waiting. And once again must say that the animation is as outstanding as the story is intriguing. Particularly the animation of the climatic scene in today’s installment.

Next, a quick visit to his chiropractor.

Loved it!!! I watched it at least 5 times! It seems when we will be depraved of something, we hold onto what we have in hand. Extremely well done, Nighthawks and Stel. When the ‘color’ shows up it is quite the surprise! (I love surprises, especially those that begin with pur————)

Wait till Miss Behave tells him that she has fallen in love with him. But, she can’t because she doesn’t want to settle down with anybody and the easiest way to fix it is to get rid of Sam Basset.
