Roy is about to show Toby another use for that trumpet and it has nothing to do with dogwoods.

Roy is now a step up from simmering, and myrtle will now need both hands to hold him back.

While Roy is all for pest control, he just wants Toby to know that he is a member ofPeopleEliminatingTrumpet-playingA█████s

Bev…. no, you had it right…Toby and Claudia live next door to Myrtle and Roy.

Myrtle doesn’t want Roy to go start something…

For one thing, she and Claudia will be going to their book club together this afternoon, and she wants calm to prevail.

For another, she knows how high Roy’s blood pressure gets once he starts arguing….

and she doesn’t want another hospital episode like the one after George Franklin started discussing Antiques Roadshow with Roy.

But mostly…. she just doesn’t want to see any bugs in the neighbors’ dogwood.

X… part of your last post seems to have been lost in transmission.Most curious.

beviek,Good thing X and others helped you last week. For some reason, we didn’t get to the Atlantic side much and I couldn’t have added anything. Things I did were more like going to the elfin cloud forest in Darien (pic links to a bigger version):Saturdays can be iffy. Last week I was slow getting ready for running club and didn’t have time to open any individual comics for comments and then forgot to come back later.

That’s it! I have been hearing this strange tooting behind the party music. Could Toby be freelancing? If so…please stop him.

Perhaps he’s sucking them up and his cheeks are full of aphids.

@beviekBev, there must be something in the water. First Aficionado, then you and now me. I joined the Kiss the Concrete Club this morning !I was meeting a gentleman for the first time, in person ( we’d spoken on the phone and emailed ) regarding my doing some marketing consultation for his company. When I arrived at the arranged place, I stepped out of my car, tripped , fell flat on my face on the curb and sidewalk. Talk about grand entrances and first impressions.Aside from injured pride, no cuts or scrapes but I did manage, in breaking my fall to crack or bruise several ribs on my right side. Ugh ! Don’t dare cough or sneeze and laughing isn’t fun either.I managed to sit through a 3 hr. meeting as the pain got steadily worse. Good news is that we came to a satisfactory arrangement and I will now, partially, come out of retirement.You may not get this because of the lateness of the post, but I’m too sore to stay up any later. Talk to you tomorrow
