Hi all. Since it’s Halloween in 30 minutes I’ll start off with a Brain Hemorrhage but instead of grenadine, Fenton, could you use Tabasco, please.Right that’s peach schnapps, Bailey’s® Irish cream and a couple of dashes of Tabasco on top.

How does it (shudder) taste?I bet nobody actually drinks that combination for the taste!

Do you need a beer after that to cleanse your palate?

In Maui you have to beware of an ‘ilio (dog) who travels with spirits, and you should wave a light if you cook outdoors so the the foul spirits, the lapu o ka po won’t touch your food and befoul it. Night is called po and many spirits walk the night here. There are stories of kane o ka po visiting earth women and Wahine o ka po visiting earth men. the unions could producer offspring with magical powers. some might look like pulu, mo’o, mamo or manu – an eel, lizard, shark or bird…….Hmm I think I will close the blinds and stay inside tonite! Aloha!

I’ve never tried the candied tomatoes but the recipes I found did not sound enticing or even look as good as the ones above. Most fruits seem to be quite sweet enough for my taste (more so when exposed to heat).

Apples such as Gala, Fuji etc (basically anything but delicious with a somewhat reddish tone) is what I like just washed and sliced as a side dish (possibly with a dash of lime) but PUT those same plain slices in a ceramic dish, sprinkle on some ground cinnamon and it is a dessert you can eat with ice cream, whipped cream, sour cream (or as I prefer, my favorite Greek yogurt).

I love slices or chunks of tomatoes in my bean salad. I stopped at grocery on my way home from dentist today for candy to give out (do not want to run out until I decide to turn off the lights). I picked up just a few things- fresh string beans (so I put kidneys and garbanzos to soak for tomorrow). I might as well make more bean salad before I run out. I waited this hour and my son did not call. I even mentioned the problems with phone tag to son-in-law when he called.

I am heating up some of my home-made chili now and will top with mixed wild and brown rice. Cantaloupe and sweet peppers for sides with whole wheat toast. You would not think with these big meals I gain no weight (but they ARE low fat) and I’ll have my dark chocolate later after the afternoon vitamins.

One more thing- one of my favorite shops (Design Toscano) has all kinds of Macabre things. Here are a few:

Just for hanging around (or anything like caps) and if you just HAVE SOMETHING against garden gnomes

Happy All Hallow’s to you too, RED. Tomorrow is All Saint’s Day. My childhood church was an All Saint’s church, so we always celebrated that day, and then there was also All Soul’s Day.

By the way, Who is that Pink Puppy? I had someone dressed that way tonight. I’m glad they’re all gone and my lights are off so I can get up to my bath. I’m also glad I mostly bought some butterscotch candy (even though it’s all artificial flavors) and “organic lollipops”. I think I’ll look for candy molds of silicone like some of my baking pans. I’d rather make REAL butterscotch with vinegar and use essential oils for other flavors. A small amount of sugar once in a while does not hurt anyone, but I prefer to keep ingredients simple and authentic (I’m suspicious of flavorings made from petroleum products and the like and even “organic” like shells of beatles). I did eat 1 piece of butterscotch and 2 mini bars of the Butterfingers (Each 6 pack had minibars) – I gave the first ones to the cute little kids with good costumes and broke up the last 2 packages saving only 2 for myself so tomorrow no temptation from that. I still have plenty of my extra dark organic chocolate.

Now I will just make Bengal Spice tea with an extra dropper each of hawthorn and holy basil (and an envelope of Stevia). That’s lovely to sip with a soak in the tub. And I started watching Rock Horror Picture Show (still love it) – It has a permanent place on THAT hard drive along with anniversary episodes of some of my fave cartoons. JOIN ME

A baseball bat? Seems sort of unwieldy and likely to be ineffective for you. Better to brandish something with sharp, firm, and pointed teeth on it to dig ’em out by the roots.
