Sorry, no birthdays for a while now, that I can think of….so nice of you to ask.
IngSoc, my friend….while I appreciate your efforts, perhaps you should actually read the comments.Every day, many of them are about the strip…Apparently most of us simply feel no need to label them so.
Even in the middle of parties and other frivolities, most of us don’t forget that the strip, and Mr. Van Amerongen’s imagination, are what bring us here.
Today, in fact…. so far, EVERY comment is about the strip….except for yours and Bilan’s!
Yes, I was thinking the same as Pcolli, that the rocket resembled a Birthday Cake being wheeled into the room.
I personally, was hoping that Constance was continuing out the door with that (and would, more so, if she were here).
It IS the quirkiness of Jerry’s humor that brings me here, but it is reading and participating in all the chatter and the marvelous art and links of other commenters that brings me back during the day (and it is one of the few ’toons that I read where comments continue to be added all day). Busy days I may even miss it, but I try not to.
Same here Red. I got home about 4pm and feel quite lazy now, after watching animal videos the past couple of hours. I think I’ll have a nightcap before turning in. How about you?
Glad to see Constance and Roger still have a ceiling ..
I wondered, while I was out….Oh…. and IngSoc…. hope you stop by and see this….
thanks for getting back to me…. No problem whatsoever.I just didn’t want you to think you had to single-handedly save the forum from extraneous comments.
In fact I’m quite glad you enjoy them…. cos I do, too.
I think we have a wonderful group of people here… even if some of them …er… us…. are a bit wacky…not naming any names, of course….
HI SUSAN! SOME of us are a bit whacky? Why I don’t know anyone who fits that description. (Prince Mua concurs, don’t you? Is kitty-kitty bb ready to take us home? Purr)
I was rooting for Seattle, but I don’t like that bad officiating may have helped them win. I was rooting for the Broncos because they are the closest team to where I live. To be fair, the Patriots couldn’t breathe. That game could have gone another way at a lower altitude.

I like that he isn’t even looking up from his book. This is nothing new for him (or her).
SusanSunshine Premium Member almost 11 years ago
No, nothing new….
Both of them have loved this hobby for years …but Roger does remember what happened in their early days of rocket science…..
SusanSunshine Premium Member almost 11 years ago
Roger will admit he enjoyed their days of devil-may-care nonchalance…
But he’s not ready for another week of camping out under the stars…in the living room….
And he wishes they could drop the expense of keeping Ballard St. Baubles, Bangles and Roof Repair on retainer…

Be wary when “Thunderstruck” starts playing on the sound system.

Constance has one constant in her life, and that is that she never minds the ceiling. She needs Hyacinth to direct her.

Hi SUSAN and BEV. Did some one mention Fireman? Does he ever drop by on the weekend?
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 11 years ago
INGSOC, I like your dry sense of humour. Sardonic may describe it best.

Hi LING. Good to see you back. Hi Red. How is your day so far?
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 11 years ago
NIGHTHAWKS, for the life of me, your allusion eludes me. Are you missing STELBEL?
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 11 years ago
I see that Constance has a spark igniter on the cart. I hope the rocket has a long fuse.
