Rose…. I have no problem seeing your new avatar…. and as far as I can remember, with seeing any other avatars on GoComics past or present.

But that Cheshire cat and flowers one appeared to me for a fraction of a second, then disappeared.Same happened when I went to your profile page…. but only once, and not each time I refreshed it.

Yes, I did find and post it…. even though I couldn’t see it.Web pages are “built” with code…and there’s an easy way to take a look at it…(If anybody cares to know more just ask, but I won’t bore you now)

The code shows a link to the picture…. so I did an image search, and tracked it down on the internet to a different site, where I could see it… then posted it.

Linguist is living in Ecuador…he posted that his “First Mate” would be off work for Mardi Gras, and they were going to be enjoying a long family weekend together.

He doesn’t post much when she’s home…and besides that, his internet service can be sporadic, and disappear for days.

I don’t recall seeing any posts from him since that last one on his page….but then he and I don’t go to all the same forums….. and my memory can be creaky.

Are you pretty sure you’ve seen him since then?

Meanwhile…. Yes, a dog license in Ballard County, IF properly stamped, to reflect training passed, permit acquired, and fees paid, does function as a drivers license.We don’t discriminate against animals here….we have a monkey for a sheriff!

And his right-hand “man” is a dog, BatPug….so are Fenton, the fantastically gifted night bartender at the Tiki Bar, and Stel’s real estate partner, Mel.

So it stands to reason there are lots of dog drivers….

So I doubt Roscoe would get a ticket just for… um… what?Driving canine?

Unless he drove a few miles too far… and this is past the Ballard County line. Some of the neighboring jurisdictions are very uptight and unfair.

Some dogs think that when they catch what they’re chasing, it’s theirs.

Bev… that fellow playing a guitar, in front of a house…. he looked so familiar to me, and so did the guitar, but I couldn’t remember his name….Did a little research, and sure enough… it’s the great North Carolina bluesman and guitar player, John Dee Holeman.I saw him on TV a long time ago, but apparently he’s still performing at 86.
