Scooter’s just like the rest of us…sometimes I think we all feel like we’re on the periphery…no matter that all the others feel the same way.

I’ve been a peripheral pack member most of my life!

Meanwhile… We have a birthday tonight here on Ballard Street … except this particular neighbor hasn’t been popping in much lately.

We didn’t want to do a big party in case he isn’t going to show up…yet we don’t want it to go unmarked….

so we figure we’ll have a small celebration, hoping he sees it…and I’ll start it by saying Happy Birthday BRI-NO-MITE!!

I’m ordering in some sushi for everybody….not that we couldn’t make some here, but I like to make sure it’s done properly, with the right quality of fish for eating raw….I mean…not made out of raw yak….

Raw fish on a birthday cake would be weird…unless maybe you had a cake made out of rice.

The sushi on the platters is real… and very good.

But on the cake, it’s made of fondant icing.and a bit of candy…\with chocolate soy sauce!

Yeah, Bev… I kinda remembered about how you can’t tell the difference.

That reminds me… Everybody… just because I brought in some sushi …..and no, thank you Monkey, really….but I don’t want any Turdmunkestani fermented fish to make into sushi rolls……really…. that’s very kind of you… but no…. REALLY.

Anyhow…. to all….just because there’s sushi…. don’t think the regular menu is on hold.The Yak "n Dak is still the best dinner AND the best restaurant value in all of Ballard County!
